Welcome to Key West, also known as the Conch Republic! This little island is only about 8 square miles in total, but in such a tiny places, there is just so many things to do and see! Many people don’t know but Key West is home to Mile Marker U.S 1, which is a fancier way of saying “The Zero Mile”! Now this trip was chosen by us, as we both magically had the same day off, and wanted to get out of the city, after an exhausting week.We had decided that we would leave the house around 7am, but turns out that we got too excited and left at 4am instead. The most breathtaking waters along the way, that connect all the way down to the location of the Dry Tortugas National Park. While driving down, you can view the most turquoise waters that would just blow your mind! Key West was definitely a wonderful place to go for a day trip; home away from home. The atmosphere gives you such island vibes, where you can be so relaxed and enjoy endless amounts of key lime pie. For such a tiny island area, there is plenty to see and do! Our first stop to eat was Conch Republic Seafood Company. It has the freshest seafood in house, and right on the water too, so what would be a better place than that? At the A&B Marina, there are so many opportunities for water activities, like snorkeling down to the The Vandenberg, taking a trip on a sail boat for the afternoon, or visiting the Mallory Square for the postcard views.
